Investigation on optimal nanoparticles for enhancing performance of suspension insulators string

Abstract

This paper aims to enhance efficiency and high voltage distribution over insulators string by using nanotechnology techniques. Selection and concentrations of nanoparticles are the main factors for controlling in electric and dielectric properties; therefore, it has been occurred controlling in t he efficiency and high voltage distribution over insulators string. Also, it has been specified the optimal types and concentrations of nanoparticles for enhancing efficiency and high voltage distribution of insulators string. COMSOL M ulti-physics Simulation as 2D geometry has been shown maximum high voltage stresses for new suspension insulators (66kV, 132kV, 220kV, 500kV) nanocomposites against traditional insulators. A comparative study is established to specify theoretical design and selection of new suspension insulators nanocomposites.
