The College of Education was established in 1403 AH as an intermediate college for girls in the city of Al-Kharj. It only grants diplomas.
On the date of 11/29/1414 AH, His Excellency the General President for Girls’s Education No. 1/1597 was issued to develop the Intermediate College in Al-Kharj, starting from the academic year 1416/1415 AH, to a College of Education in accordance with the four-year system, according to which the student is granted a bachelor’s degree.
In 1418/1417 AH, the scientific departments were separated into a separate building located east of Al-Kharj (Al-Faisaliah).
In 1423/1422 AH, a new department was opened in the college according to the region’s needs in the specialization of history.
In 1424/1423 AH, the approval of His Excellency the Deputy Minister of Education for Girls’s Education Affairs was issued to open the door for admission to enrollment in Girls’s Colleges in the Kingdom to allow for the admission of the largest possible number of female students.
In 1430/1429 AH the college joined King Saud University, and finally, at the beginning of 1431 AH, the college joined Al-Kharj University, whose name was changed to Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University.
